This vehicle was purchased new by the City of Champaign and used by the Fire Department.  The vehicle currently has 96,027 miles, & was removed from service in Jan 2014 as part of our normal vehicle rotation cycle.  The vehicle appears to drive well with no apparent issues. 

The exterior is in fair condition.  The frame has surface rust from being exposed to the winter climate.

The interior is in fair condition.    The driver seat is worn through the fabric due to normal daily used of the truck.

This vehicle was serviced on a 180-day preventive maintenance cycle.  It was last serviced in Sept 2013 at 94,001 miles.  At this service, the turn signal switch was replaced, cab latches rebuilt & wiring to the primer pump repaired.  Other repairs to this vehicle include the following items. 

• 2012:  In Aug 2012, at 91,144 miles, both rear brake chambers were replaced.  Also in Aug 2012, at 91,140 miles, an air line & seat belt stop kit were replaced.  In mid-Aug 2012, at 91,131 miles, the spot light, rear brake pads & one rear rotor were replaced.  In Mar 2012, at 89,652 miles, both battery boxes, the left front door window regulator, window crank & the circuit board for the audible low air alarm were replaced.  Also an air leak at the governor was repaired.  In mid-Mar 2012, at 89,439 miles, the hand throttle at the pump panel & the service brake valve were replaced.  The ladder rack control box wires to the left compartment light were also repaired.  In Jan 2012, at 89,233 miles, the fuel lines, starter, right front slack adjuster, air line from the governor to the air dryer & from the governor to the rear air tank were replaced.  Also in mid-Jan 2012, at 89,056 miles, the air governor & wiper blades were replaced. 
• 2011:  In Jun 2011, at 86,753 miles, the primer pump solenoid was replaced.  In Jan 2011, at 86,086 miles, the engine was rebuilt.  In Mar 2011, at 86,285 miles, the deluge valve, o-rings on the drain valves, pump shift cable were replaced.  Also, the pump panel wires were repaired. 
• 2010:  In Oct 2010, at 85,650 miles, an air valve in the pump housing was replaced.  Also in Oct 2010, at 85,559 miles the right side cab latch was repaired. In Sept 2009, the right rear door window crank was replaced.  In early Sept 2009, at 85,276 miles, the exhaust pipe & 2 clamps were replaced.  In Aug 2010, at 85,221 miles, the right front door window crank was replaced.  In July 2010, at 84,844 miles, one pump panel light bulb & one 30-amp circuit breaker were replaced.  In May 2010, at 84,154 miles, the throttle handle was replaced. 
• 2009:  In Aug 2009, at 82,912 miles, the service brake valve & brake hoses were replaced.  In Feb 2009, at 81,927 miles, the driver seat was repaired & both front seat belts were replaced. 
• 2008:  In Nov 2008, at 81,276 miles, the arrow stick control box was repaired.  Also in Nov 2008, at 81,226 miles, the brake adjuster, water hoses in rear compartment, & heater hoses were replaced.  In Aug 2008, at 79,795 miles, the fuel solenoid & shifter cable were replaced.  In July 2008, at 79,683 miles, a switch & light were replaced.  Also in July 2008, at 79,497 miles, the fuel hoses were replaced.  In early July 2008, at 79,472 miles, the right rear turn signal bulb, right rear compartment door hinge brace & center marker light were replaced.  In Apr 2008, at 79,088 miles, the thermostat, water temperature gauge, & sending unit were replaced.  In Jan 2008, at 78,578 miles, the fuel line hose from the fuel filter to the fuel injection pump & the fuel return hoses at the injectors were replaced.
• 2007:  In Nov 2007, at 78,242 miles, the pipe fittings to the recirculator line were replaced.  Also in Nov 2007, at 78,237 miles, the battery feed connection in the power distribution box was repaired.  In Aug 2007, at 77,643 miles, the starter & fuel sending unit were replaced. In July 2007, at 76,963 miles, both batteries were replaced.  In June 2007, at 76,786 miles, the brake light switch was replaced.  Also in June 2007, at 76,700 miles, the voltage gauge was replaced.  In Mar 2007, at 76,074 miles, the radiator was repaired & the coolant sight glass was replaced.  Also in Mar 2007, at 76,058 miles, the fan belts & fan clutch were replaced.
• 2006:  In Dec 2006, the fuel ball, primer pump & fuel filter were replaced.  The fuel system was also reprimed.  Also in Dec 2006, at 75,639 miles, the power steering dipstick was replaced.  In Nov 2006, at 75,361 miles, the battery terminals & battery bolts were all replaced.  In Aug 2006, at 75,005 miles, the rear brake pads, air conditioner compressor & clutch were replaced.  The air conditioner system was also recharged.  In early Aug 2006, at 74,970 miles, the auto eject, one step light & one rocker switch were replaced.  In May 2006, at 74,427 miles, the main water pump seals were replaced.  Also in May 2006, at 74,424 miles, the license plate bracket & light were replaced.  In Feb 2006, at 74,212 miles, the rear shocks & thermostat were replaced. 
• 2005:  In Oct 2005, at 73,170 miles, the right rear flashing light bulb was replaced.  In Sept 2005, at 72,773 miles, the starter relay was replaced & left rear outer tire repaired.  In Aug 2005, at 72,481 miles, the priming pump motor was repaired.  Also in Aug 2005, at 72,249 miles, the power steering sight glass was replaced.  In June 2005, at 72,092 miles, the air conditioner system was recharged.  In Mar 2005, at 71,729 miles, the turbocharger oil lines seals, gasket, & all the front roof marker lights were replaced.  In Jan 2005, at 71,398 miles, the right rear window crank handle were replaced.  Also in Jan 2005, the exhaust manifold was replaced.

• 1998:  In Dec 1998, the wiper blades & right rear window crank knob were replaced.  In Aug 1998, at 33,042 miles, the relay for the center front light bar was replaced.  In July 1998, at 31,995 miles, the driver side air conditioner condenser fan, hose reel foot switch, one toggle switch, & the left rear brake chamber were replaced.  In June 1998, at 31,396 miles, one slack adjuster, the rear brake pads, rear rotors, & wheel seals were replaced.  In Apr 1998, at 30,235 miles, the front brake pads, front rotors, & wheel seals were replaced.  In Mar 1998, the fan belt & belt tensioner were replaced. 

This vehicle can be viewed between the hours of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding national holidays, at the City of Champaign Public Works Department, 702 Edgebrook Drive, Champaign, Illinois.  The vehicle must be picked up between the hours of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday at the same location.

The City of Champaign is required to sell all vehicles through an auction process.  We cannot accept “Buy It Now” offers or trades.
